Bail Set for Bangor Man Accused of Using Box Cutter in Attack on Ex-Girlfriend
A judge set bail at $15,000 for a Bangor man accused of using a box cutter in an attack on his ex-girlfriend and her friend.Charges against 32-year-old William Cocci include aggravated assault, domestic violence assault and stalking. He made his first court appearance Friday. Police say Cocci fought with his ex-girlfriend and her friend on Hammond Street Wednesday morning. Police say he sliced the second woman with a box cutter while she tried to protect her friend. They say he also pulled the blade on an officer, surrendering when the officer drew his gun. Cocci denied the allegations and says he was hurt protecting himself. He’s also charged with violating his probation on a domestic violence assault charge in Massachusetts.
