Bangor City Council Sits Down With Local Residents 

Bangor city councilors sat down with local senior citizens Thursday to talk issues.Three council members stopped by the Phillips-Strickland House to update folks on what’s going on in the community, as well as take any questions they might have.”Just because we’re old doesn’t mean we don’t know things. I think it’s very important for them and they make us feel very much a part of the city government and I think we should,” said local resident, Connie Russell.The visit is part of a new council initiative to stay in touch with city’s longtime residents.”I know how important the residents are here and the difference they’ve made in our community. They’ve really created a place that’s allowed a guy like me to thrive in this city,” said councilman, Ben Sprague.
