Renae Muscatell from Penquis talks about transportation services in Penobscot in Piscataquis County, with special mention of transportation service available to people with disabilities and for those diagnosed with a breast cancer. The Lynx Ride to Wellness is transportation or mileage reimbursement for individuals with a diagnosis of breast cancer to and from treatments. There is no fee for this service but the individuals must live in Penobscot or Piscataquis Counties.New Freedom Transportations -This service is available for individuals with a disability who live in the towns of: Bangor, Brewer, Old Town, Hampden, Orono or Veazie and who are more than ¾ of a mile from the fixed route of the City of Bangor’s bus system. There is fee of $2.50 each way.Lynx drivers receive 80 hours of training, including Passenger Service and Safety, Defensive Driving, CPR/First Aid, Emergency Evacuation and Children’s Transportation.
