Convicted Sex Offender Charged with Possessing Child Porn

A convicted sex offender from Hampden pleaded not guilty Friday to federal charges of possessing child pornography.Walter Mosher, 64, is accused of having pictures and videos of child porn on his computer. He faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.Mosher is listed on the Maine Sex Offender Registry, for a case from 1986 where he was convicted of gross sexual misconduct and other sex crimes against a child in Aroostook County Superior Court in Houlton.He’s due back in federal court in Bangor next week for a detention hearing.
