Rockland Woman Accused of Arson Out of Jail

A woman from Rockland accused of setting fire to an apartment building in Rockland is now out of jail. Christie Look, 35, posted bail Thursday after a judge lowered it from $20,000 to $2,500. Her lawyer argued for a reduced bail, saying Look was distraught over the death of her mother in a fire two years ago.Police say Look admitted she started a fire in her apartment on Talbot Avenue in December as a suicide attempt.She was arrested in February and charged with two counts of arson. The fire heavily damaged the four-unit apartment building.Look’s lawyer says Look is undergoing extensive mental health treatment, plans to live with an aunt and is under the supervision of Maine Pretrial Services.
