Gordon Manuel, Former TV5 News Director, Dies at 66 

We lost a member of the TV5 family Friday.Gordon Manuel passed away in South Carolina.Manuel began his career at WABI in the late 1960’s.He eventually became the news director and anchor of the 6pm news.He left TV5 in 1984 to take a public relations position with Bowater, the company that owned the Great Northern Paper mills. That work took him to South Carolina.He was diagnosed with lung cancer last year. After a long fight, he died this morning at a South Carolina hospital.He’s survived by two adult children, Liza and Chad. Gordon Manuel was 66.
