More Candidates Vying for Senate Spot as Snowe Announces Resignation 

The political landscape in Maine continues to change rapidly following Sen. Olympia Snowe’s decision not to run again.With Maine’s two U.S. Representatives looking at a run for Senate, more candidates took out filing paperwork Thursday.Former Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap, who already was a democratic candidate for Snowe’s U.S. Senate, has taken out nomination papers for Maine’s 2nd Congressional District, represented by Mike Michaud.Also, Democratic State Senator Barry Hobbins picked up petitions to run for the 1st District Congressional seat, held by Chellie Pingree.
