Man Charged with Florida Fire Fighter’s Murder Due in Court Thursday

State police say a firefighter from Florida who was last seen in Maine was the victim of a drug-related murder. Police charged Daniel Porter, 24, with murder on Tuesday. The Bangor man is scheduled to be in Waldo County Superior Court Thursday at 1 p.m.Perdomo’s body has not been found. Porter was arrested at his father’s home in Jackson where police say Perdomo was last seen. Porter and his girlfriend, Cheyanne Nowak, are the last known people to have seen Perdomo. Perdomo drove from Florida to Maine nearly two weeks ago, reportedly to see a friend. Perdomo’s wife Tonya addressed the media in Florida on Monday, saying her husband went to Maine to help someone, but she didn’t know who. Perdomo disappeared February 16th. The rental car he drove from Florida was found in the Bangor WalMart parking lot. State Police said this weekend they believed foul play was involved in the man’s disappearance.
