Updated 3 years ago

Bangor police are investigating what’s being called a suspicious death on Court Street. Authorities tell TV5 that they responded to a disorderly conduct call at the three-story apartment building Wednesday night around 9:30 PM.”There was an argument over laundry and that precipitated into officers getting information about this other incident. I don’t know if it’s related or not to this dead man in the apartment,” said Bangor Police Sergeant Paul Edwards. Edwards says it appears the man may have been stabbed but could not confirm as they are awaiting results of an autopsy, which is scheduled for Thursday. The man’s identity has not been released, but we’re told he is middle-aged. The body has been transported to the medical examiner’s office in Augusta. Meanwhile, a neighbor tells us she is not surprised something like this happened where she lives.”It’s unsafe here, I just have the rest of my life, career ahead of me, I’m scared, I don’t want something to happen to me you know, I live alone I’m scared to death,” said Amanda Hamblen. This investigation is not related to missing Florida firefighter Jerry Perdomo, who was last seen Thursday in Bangor.
