Special Election Tuesday For Maine Dist. 20 Senate Seat

Tuesday (2/14) the polls will be open for a special election for a seat in the Maine Senate.The election will be held in the towns of District 20 to fill the seat vacated by David Trahan’s resignation.The Republican from Waldoboro resigned to become the Executive Director of the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine.He took over with SAM in October and gave up his seat in January after checking with the Maine Ethics Commission about the possibility of holding both positions.State Senate District 20 represents Alna, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Bremen, Bristol, Damariscotta, Edgecomb, Friendship, Hibberts Gore, Jefferson, Monhegan Island Plantation, Newcastle, Nobleboro, Somerville, South Bristol, Southport, Waldoboro, Washington, Westport Island, Whitefield, Windsor and Wiscasset.
