Update: Mitt Romney with Narrow Win in Maine’s Republican Caucuses 

Mitt Romney got a narrow win in Maine’s Republican caucuses, but Ron Paul’s campaign thinks the results could have been different if Washington County had not postponed their caucuses because of the snow.Jesse Benton, national chairman for Ron Paul campaign, says hewas disappointed the Washington County caucus was postponed to nextweek and thinks the Texas congressman could have picked up another200 votes if they had been held Saturday.Benton also says Paul is in the race until someone wins enoughdelegates to win the nomination: 1,144.Washington County GOP Chairman Chris Gardner says that when thedecision was made to postpone the caucuses, he didn’t understandthat the Washington County votes wouldn’t count.Maine GOP Chair Charlie Webster stresses the caucus votes werean “unofficial, nonbinding poll.”
