Rivals Old Town and Orono Skate To A Tie

There was a game at the Alfond tonight, a pretty good one, too. Old Town and Orono facing off in a big showdown of rivals.Jump to the third period, game tied at two. Old Town puts one on the board. Alex Leithiser beats Orono goalie Michael Brown through the side of the net and it’s 3-2 Coyotes.Just over a minute later, it looks like Brown’s got it covered up, but David Wilcox is able to stuff it through his legs. Third goal of the night for the Old Town captain, that’s a hat trick! Makes it 4-2 Coyotes.But not too long after that, the Red Riots would storm back. Connor McKaigfinds Matt Cloutier and he blasts one past Coyote goalie Nathan Collannino, cutting the lead in half to 4-3.Then just 39 seconds later, Orono strikes again. Zach Williams with a shot from the point, it’s stopped, but out of nowhere Chad Adams puts the loose puck in, tying it at four. Both teams would have their chances, even in overtime, but Orono and Old Town skating to a 4-4 tie.
