Man Sentenced for Worker’s Compensation Fraud
A former Medway man will spend 2 months in jail after pleading guilty to perjury in a worker’s compensation case. David Powers, 50, was sentenced on Tuesday. The Attorney General’s Office say Powers gave false testimony in a worker’s comp hearing in 2009.He was seen operating a crane while he was collecting worker’s compensation for a back injury. He’s reimbursed $6,000 to the insurance company for the money paid to him.
