Red Cross Hosts Blood Drive at Husson University

The American Red Cross says it’s just pints away from reaching its monthly goal of donated blood.The Red Cross hosted a blood drive at Husson University.Donors who gave a pint got a coupon for a free pound of Dunkin Donuts coffee.Christine Bessey with the Red Cross says there’s always a need for blood.”The need for blood is always always forefront in all of our minds what with accidents and illnesses it’s very important that people know that blood drives are important to meet our collection goals and help the hospitals,” she said.If you couldn’t donate blood Monday, you can go the Blood Donor Center on Hammond Street Tuesday.There will be another blood drive from 11 am until 6 pm sponsored by the Bangor Roller Derby.
