Updated 3 years ago

Ready, set, plunge! The Polar Plunge helps send kids to Camp CaPella in Dedham and Camp Sunshine on Sebago Lake. Camp CaPella is for children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities. Camp Sunshine is a place for kids with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Volunteers will plunge into Phillips Lake in Dedham, raising money to send kids to camp. ” This is about giving kids a wonderful opportunity to come to camp and enjoy Maine like every other kid does,” said Dana Mosher, executive director of Camp CaPella. ” I plunge so that children can come to camp, spend that special time for a week down here. Kids love it,” added Michael Noyes, a Camp CaPella board member and a plunger. The Polar Plunge is Sunday, February 5th at Phillips Lake in Dedham. Registration is at 1 o’clock that afternoon, the polar plunge starts at 2 o’clock. For more information on Camp CaPella click here. For more information on Camp Sunshine click here.
