Nichols Changes Plea in Shooting Death of His Wife 

A Turner man charged with murder in the shooting death of his wife has changed his plea to not guilty by reason of insanity. Brian Nichols is accused of killing his wife, Jane Tetreault, 38, at their home in turner in May of 2010. He originally pleaded not guilty.Court papers say Nichols confessed to police shortly after the shooting.Court papers also say that Tetreault’s teenage son, who was home when his mother was shot, told police that his father had been stalking his mother and believed she was having an affair.
