6 Displaced After Augusta Apartment Fire 

Six people were displaced by an apartment fire in Augusta early Saturday morning.According to the Augusta Fire Department, the fire happened around 4:30 A.M. at an apartment on Drew Street. We’re told it started on the second floor.Firefighters say the second floor apartment had a fair amount of fire damage, while the first and third floor apartments had smoke and water damage. We’re told the American Red Cross helped all six people displaced by the fire find housing at a local motel.Firefighters believe the cause of the fire was improper disposal of smoking materials.No one was injured.
