Authorities say slippery roads play a part in a deadly collision today in Glenburn.A 21-year-old woman from Hudson was killed. Two people were taken to the hospital. Emergency crews were called to Pushaw Road, near Skidgel Road, about 1 p.m. Monday. The driver was heading north on Pushaw toward Hudson. We’re told she lost control of the car and crossed the center line. A truck heading the other direction then broadsided the car.Penobscot County Chief Deputy Troy Morton says the rough road was a major factor in the crash. “As you can see behind me, the curved portion of this road is very slushy, frozen up, where it’s kind of a shadow area, not allowing it to thaw out. Definitely appears to be a factor in this crash.”The passenger of the truck was injured, the driver is okay. Authorities are not releasing the names of those involved until family members have been notified.
