Police Say 31 Teens Summonsed After Lincoln Party

Bangor High School officials say they’vesuspended 28 students from extra- and co-curricular activities fortwo weeks for being at an overnight drinking party last weekend. Superintendent Betsy Webb said the school’s principal, viceprincipal and athletic director chose to give out the maximumpenalty allowed under school policies. The Bangor Daily News said the drinkingparty took place at a camp in Lincoln on Saturday, and that policeissued summonses to 31 15- and 16-year-old students for illegalpossession of alcohol. One student was issued a summons formarijuana possession. Police said officers found many of the students sleeping invehicles and that many of them were very intoxicated. (AP)
