Charity Says Christmas Donations Coming Up Short

With just days left until Christmas, a local organization says they need your help putting gifts under the trees of local families this year.Manna Ministries says more than a thousand people signed up to receive a helping hand this holiday. For the last fifteen years, Manna has collected gifts for families in need. This year, they had more requests than usual and now need your help to fill them.”The elderly, the moms, the dads, the single parents that have really sacrificially given, we need to give back to them and show them that there is a season of hope, this is a community that you can grow in and feel like people are going to help you,” said Manna’s Executive Director, Bill Rae. Rae says there are three ways you can donate. You can adopt a family to shop for, pick a gift to buy from Manna’s Giving Tree or just make a donation.Manna volunteers will be at the Bangor Mall until Friday to collect donations in front of JC Penney.
