Thomaston Man Accused of Having $170K of Bath Salts

State drug agents say a man from Thomaston accused of taking part in a major bath salts ring in Knox County had $170,000 worth of the drug in his possession.Agent say they seized 2-and-a-half-pounds of bath salts in the past week from a house in Thomaston and a car in Waterville. 26-year-old Travis Griffin was summonsed for unlawful trafficking of the drug. He’s already in jail in Wiscasset where he is being held on a previous bath salts arrest last month in Waterville and a probation violation.Agents say they found most of the drugs in a vacant house Griffin owns with his family on Old County Road. The rest was found hidden in a video game console that was stashed in a vehicle Griffin was riding in, which was stopped for a traffic violation in Waterville.
