NYC Man Pleads Not Guilty in Bangor Crack Cocaine Ring

A man from New York City arrested in connection with a crack cocaine ring in Bangor pleaded not guilty Tuesday in federal court. Manual Trinidad-Acosta, 27, is charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm during a drug crime. He was arrested last month after police raided four apartments on Ohio Street and one on Garland Street. Court documents say Trinidad-Acosta and another man, Jacob Garcia, 21, also of New York, were the ring leaders of the operation. Authorities say at least 18 people took part in the drug deals. Four people are facing federal charges in the case. Trinidad-Acosta remains behind bars until a detention hearing next week.
