Manna Ministries Needs Christmas Donations

Updated 3 years ago

The folks at Manna Ministries in Bangor want to make Christmas a little merrier. For the last 15 years Manna has collected gifts for not only children, but parents and individuals. So far this year, we’re told more than 300 people have signed up to get help. Manna’s executive director, Bill Rae, says they’re collecting more than just toys and clothing. They need sheets, blankets, pots and pans. There are three ways you can donate. ” You can send us a check and mark on it Christmas 2011. We’ll go shopping for you or you can come down and we have the Tree of Hope which have ideas and actually thoughts written on the tree with what people asked for. We match them with the right person. Or go buy a gift card and we can go shopping with the gift card or some people have asked for a gift card so they can go buy certain specific items,” said Bill Rae, executive director of Manna Ministries. Manna volunteers will be at the Bangor Mall starting this Friday, collecting donations in front of JC Penney. They’ll be there until December 23rd.
