Student Charged With Arson Following Vassalboro School Fire 

The State Fire Marshal’s Office says a 13 year old girl has been charged with arson in connection with Monday’s fire at the Vassalboro Community School. Fire Investigators Summonsed the seventh grader who attends the school, Tuesday afternoon and released her into the custody of her parents. Fire Marshal Sgt. Ken Grimes says the blaze broke out in an upstairs girls’ bathroom when a toilet paper dispenser was set on fire.No injuries were reporter and the damage was limited to that one bathroom.
