Local Bakery Feels the Holiday Rush this Thanksgiving

’Tis the season for pies at Frank’s Bake Shop.The bakery says Thanksgiving is one of their busiest days of the year.Employees work 16 hour days making thousands of pies and other baked goods.”The oven’s been on since last night about midnight this morning and it won’t go off until probably 3, 4 o’clock around Wednesday,” says owner Bernadette Gaspar.But even with a snowstorm expected to hit Wednesday, they tell us folks will get their sweet treats no matter what.”We will be open from 8 to 10 Thursday morning for pick-up only,” says bakery manager Julie Bartlett.Frank’s Bake Shop also has Thanksgiving dinners for sale.They say the best thing to do during the holiday rush is call ahead.
