Fourteen Street Students Vote on School Mascot 

It was election day for students at the Fourteen Street School in Bangor.They voted on a school mascot.This school is the only one in Bangor without a mascot.Their choices were lion, chickadee, firefly and owl.Before heading to the polls, they did research, reading about the different creatures on the ballot and campaigning for their favorites.”They’ve done their research, that they’re well informed voters and that they’re able to cast their vote and they can make a difference and it means something to them that their vote will have a real meaning,” said Principal Lynn Silk.The results of the election will be announced Thursday.
