A man from New York City arrested in connection with a crack cocaine ring in Bangor last week remains in jail while another person has been released. Jacob Garcia,21, appeared in federal court in Bangor Monday and was denied bail.He’s one of at least eighteen people police say took part in a drug ring that was busted when police raided four apartments on Ohio Street and one on Garland Street.Court documents say Garcia and Manual Trinidad-Acosta,27, of New York were part of a Dominican drug operation.They’re accused of being the ring leaders in the Bangor area. Pari Proffitt,22, of Bangor and Pauline Rossignol,52, of Brewer are also charged in federal court. Profitt appeared in court Monday, too, and was released on bail. Rossignol was released last week.
