The issue of whether to let a methadone clinic return to Rockland will go before the city’s planning board Tuesday night. In September, city councilors approved a zoning change for the property on New County Road, which once housed the Turning Tide clinic. The change would allow Rockland Metro Treatment of Maine to move in. Now the planning board will review the site plan for the new clinic, which includes expanded parking and how to handle traffic in the area. Code Enforcement Officer John Root says if the board finds the clinic’s plan complete, a public hearing could be scheduled for as soon as two weeks from Tuesday night.
