Autumn Casserole 

TOPPING 4 tsp sugar 3 cups cornflakes,coarsely crumbled 3/4 cup pecans 4 Tblsp butter APPLE MIXTURE 2 1/2 Tble butter 6 to 7 large cooking Apples: peeled, cored, cut (not too thin)4 tsp sugar SQUASH MIXTURE 6 cups fresh butternut squash cooked till tender 4 Tbsp butter 2 Tbsp Brown sugar 1/4 tsp salt 1: preheat oven 350’mis topping ingredients in a bowl, set aside 2: Prepare apples-heat skillet with butter over medium heat saute apples for about 3 minutes until tender stir in sugar transfer to a 9x 13 baking dish 3: prepare squash-mash cooked squash add butter , brown sugar & salt spread squash over cooked apples sprinkle topping over the squash 4: bake for 20 minutes or until topping is golden brown and crunchy.
