His goal in OT lifted the Black Bears to a 5-4 win.No score midway through the first period. Kyle Beattie hits Adam Shemansky in stride. The junior goes top shelf and beats Alex Beaudry. Maine grabs a 1-0 lead on Shemansky’s second of the season. But the lead is short lived. Less than two minutes later. The play breaks down in front of Maine’s net. Dan Sullivan sent sprawling. Damian Cross with a power play goal. Things all tied up at one.Same score in the opening minute of the second. Brian Flynn with a deft pass to Matt Mangene. The junior lights the lamp. Maine goes back in front 2-1. 23 ticks into the second. Both teams trading pressure but it’s a one goal game until the final minute. Klas Leidermark grabs the empty netter.
