Hampden Public Safety Invites Kids in for Halloween Party

All kinds of fun was happening at Hampden Public Safety Sunday afternoon. They held their annual open house and Halloween party.Kids get to come in costume and play a variety of games, get candy and take part in costume contests.Police say it’s a safe place for the kids to come and keeps them from walking the streets after dark. They say it also allows them to see law enforcement in a different light.” We want them to feel comfortable if they’re in the police or fire station. That they know what police officers and firefighters do and they don’t have to be scared of us.”They also had a bouncy house and pony rides planned but because of the weather had to cancel those activities.
