Students from Penobscot Job Corps Academy are making a difference. America’s largest day of service, Make a Difference Day, is officially Saturday. Local students got a jump on it a day early. They did yard work and maintenance for local non-profits. “As they grow older and leave our program and go back to their communities we’re hoping they’ll get involved there. It makes a difference in their lives when they can help others,” said Mike Jellison, business and community liaison for Penobscot Job Corps Academy.
