Students Head to Augusta for Earth Science Day 

Hundreds of young and inquiring minds will get together under one roof in Augusta Wednesday.The Maine state museum will host Maine Earth Science Day.More than 800 students from throughout Maine have signed up for it.They’ll pan for gold and quarry for granite and get a whole lot of other hands-on opportunities.Scientists, artists, educators and industry professionals will be at the museum to help out.The goal is to promote the state’s geology and earth products.
