UMaine Hockey Loses Lead Before Drawing North Dakota

The UMaine hockey team has had a lot of success over North Dakota in recent years, but a four game winning streak against the Fighting Sioux came to a screeching halt last night as North Dakota scored two late goals to win 3-1 over the Black Bears.The 17th ranked Black Bears going with Dan Sullivan in net tonight. Just like last night. Maine striking first. Will O’Neill to Brian Flynn. He one-times the puck past goalie Aaron Dell. Second goal of the year for Flynn. 1-0 Maine. First minute of the second period, Kyle Beattie to Will O’Neill in the right face-off circle. The pretty wrister lights the lamp. 2-0 black bears.But just like last night, North Dakota comes storming back. The Sioux score three straight goals before Maine forces a tie. This one ends in a 3-3 draw. The Black Bears return for a series at home with Providence in two weeks.
