The Bangor Girl’s soccer team has high aspirations this year. The team went to the state game last year and they think they can do even better this time. Prescott Rossi reports from Bangor High School. Nothing has been able to stop the Bangor Girl’s soccer team so far this year. The Rams are 12-0-0 in 2011. The rain isn’t stopping them either. This afternoon, the team has taken practice inside Red Barry gym.Practice is a little different indoors. The team is practicing with green soccer balls and on the basketball floor. Even with its differences, the team is still able to put in a full day of work.Ashley Robinson – Bangor Senior“We have to get ready to play on turf and inside helps us get ready for that game.”Jade Baumrind – Bangor Senior“It’s really smooth and the ball bounces a lot but I think it helps us work on our touches when we get outside.”The Bangor Girl’s soccer team has never won a state title. With 13 seniors on this year’s team there is a chance for them to go out on a high note and do something no other team has done before.Liz Hintz – Bangor Senior“Ending on a win in the state championship in our senior year, getting to hold the gold ball up as we get our picture taken. To end on a really good note would be awesome.”Coming up at 6:00, we’ll hear more from the rams as they wind down the season with practice inside Red Barry Gym.
