Augusta Man to Spend Two Years Behind Bars For Holding Knife at Two Police Officers 

An Augusta man will spend two years in jail for holding a knife at two police officers.Wayne Thompson, 47, pleaded guilty Wednesday to five charges. In May, police were responding to a domestic violence complaint on Penobscot Street in Augusta when Thompson pulled the knife.He’s charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence assault, domestic violence terrorizing and assault.Police eventually used tear gas to force Thompson outside the building.
