No Jail for Belfast Man Convicted of Criminal Threatening

A Belfast man has admitted to his role in the attempted kidnapping of a woman earlier this year.Police say 49-year-old Paul Jameson kept a woman against her will in his car last June.According to court documents, Jameson gave the woman three choices: leave town, move in with him or die.In court Monday, Jameson admitted to one count of Domestic Violence Criminal Threatening.He was sentenced to 60 days, with all the time suspended, as well as one year of probation.Police say Jameson and the woman knew each other but didn’t explain the extent of their relationship.In 1993, he was convicted of setting a woman’s house on fire.
