Paraplegic Skipper Saves Lives

A paraplegic skipper is being credited with actions that helped save the lives of all but one on his pleasure fishing boat as it took on water in rough seas more than 5 miles off Kennebunkport.Maine Marine Patrol says things could have been worse ifskipper Nicholas Masi III, of Biddeford, hadn’t calmlytold his three friends to put on survival suits and issued amayday.A passing yacht heard the distress call and pulled out three ofthe men. A lobster boat pulled out the fourth. The man who died was pulled out by the yacht and was identified as 47-year-old Douglas Isenberg, of Biddeford. (AP)
