A bath salts investigation in the Bangor-Brewer area has landed six people in jail.Brewer Police officers and Penobscot County deputies searched a home on North Main Street in Brewer last night. 44-year-old Lisa Turner of Brewer, 48-year-old Francis Leonard, 40-year-old Peter MCaffrey of Hermon and 46-year-old Lynn Cook of Bangor were arrested, as were Richard Curtis and Amanda Dismore.Brewer Police Chief Perry Antone says bath salts have been a problem in the Bangor/Brewer area for the past seven months. In Brewer alone, he says they receive calls regarding the drug 4 or 5 times a week.”What it does for the Brewer Police Department is we’ve been able to establish information from the search that we’ll be able to follow up on as the investigation continues but we’ve also established that these are being sold and trafficked by people that live in the Bangor/Brewer area,” he said.Chief Perry says the age range of bath salts users is primarily from twenty to forty years old.Police are not saying how much bath salts they uncovered in the raid.
