Anson Murder Suspect Appears in Court 

For nearly two years, the murder of 60-year old Everett Cameron remain unsolved.The Anson man was shot to death inside his pick up truck near his home.Monday, the man police say pulled the trigger made his first court appearance.40-year-old Robert Nelson of Norridgewock is charged with murder and illegal possession of a firearm.He appeared via video in Skowhegan district court.Police say Nelson shot Cameron to death on Halloween 2009.The two men knew each other.Nelson was arrested Friday at the Somerset County jail, where he was being held on an unrelated charge.In court Monday, a judge agreed to push his arraignment back to October 4th to give Nelson time to get a court-appointed attorney.The judge also agreed with the Attorney General’s office to continue withholding bail on the murder charge.He did set bail at $5,000 cash or $20,000 assurity on the firearm’s charge.
