Too many cats and kittens. That’s what folks at the Kennebec Valley Humane Society in Augusta have on their hands. They’re taking care of about 175 cats right now.So they’re offering a special this weekend in hopes of finding them new homes. Waiving the fee for cats more than 6-months old. The price of kittens is being reduced to $50.00 this weekend. All the cats are spayed or neutered and up to date on shots. “We’re hoping that is a little incentive for folks to come in and meet these cats and hopefully take them home,” says Hillary Roberts, Executive Director at the Kennebec Valley Humane Society. “It’s an opportunity for them to really save a life and make a difference in their community.”The Kennebec Valley Humane Society is open 10-4 Saturday and 11-4 Sunday. For more information on available pets go to their website www.pethavenlane.org.
