Antique Appraisal

The Old Town Museum hosted an antique appraisal Sunday.Bruce Buxton, one of the top antique appraisers in New England came to the museum. There was a maximum of three antiques and those interested had to pay a fee depending on how many items they brought.Right now the only revenue the museum receives is from memberships and donations, so they are using this event to help raise some more money.Folks were encouraged to bring in all sorts of antiques.” It’s helpful for insurance purposes too. If you have items that are worth money and you don’t know it or insure them properly if something happens you could be out a substantial amount of money.”This was the first time the museum hosted this event and they had more than thirty people come out. They hope to make it annual.
