E-readers are becoming more and more popular and the Bangor Public Library is working to accommodate those who use them.On Thursday, the library hosted an e-reader demonstration. Librarians compared different types and answered questions for those who already have e-readers but are having trouble using them. They also showed folks how to use the library’s e-book system.”I think we’re getting new users, people who maybe for years haven’t been to the library. This is a new way to reach people who want to read,” said Patrick Layne, Reference Librarian.Bangor’s library is part of a consortium of Maine libraries with about 2,300 e-books available to anyone with a library card.
