Crews responded to an accident on the Pushaw Road in Glenburn, involving a motorcycle and vehicle.Authorities say a Ford Explorer was traveling north on the road and went to make a left-hand turn but wasn’t sure where it was going. They say the SUV continued to turn in front of an oncoming motorcycle.Police say the motorcycle locked up its brakes but ran into the back of the vehicle. The female driver of the motorcycle was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for minor injuries. There were four occupants in the SUV. None of them sustained injuries.Police say it’s important to keep an eye out for motorcycles this time of year.” Obviously a motorcycle is a much thinner object then a vehicle. They do have the headlights on for visibility but it’s very important that drivers are aware. Make sure they look in opposite direction before they turn or back into traffic.”The accident is still under investigation.
