Waterville Concourse Clean Up On For Saturday

Restaurants in Waterville are setting the stage for the 19th annual Taste of Greater Waterville and the folks from the Women’s Initiative are pitching in.The non-profit group has organized its first ever concourse clean-up day. Group founder Martha Dempski says the alley behind Goodwill is full of trash. She’s asking for volunteers to help clean it up.Waterville Public Works is supplying a truck and heavy duty bags. Inland Hospital is donating water and the Inland Clinic is donating dust masks.Dempski says all they need now are a few volunteers. “We’re just looking forward to getting it cleaned up and making things look a little bit better,” Dempski says. “You know taking a little bit of pride in our community.
