Re-Sentencing in Order for Case Against Former Blue Hill Teacher

Maine’s highest court has tossed out the 29-year sentence of a former music teacher from Blue Hill who molested students.But 52-year-old Theodore Stanislaw remains in prison tonight.Maine’s Supreme Court ruled that a superior court judge didn’t follow guidelines when sentencing Stanislaw in January of last year.Stanislaw pleaded guilty to molesting five girls between the ages of ten and fourteen. But he appealed the length of his sentence.The high court ruled that the judge failed to explain to Stanislaw why the sentence was so severe.He remains in prison while his case goes back to a lower court for re-sentencing.
