Old Town Baseball Reaches Playoffs with Win Over Bucksport

Tomorrow is the last day of the regular season for high school baseball and softball. Teams on the bubble doing all they can to make the postseason. Old Town baseball entered today sitting 11th in Class B. one spot out of the playoffs.A win over second ranked bucksport and the coyotes go to the postseason.Old Town with a great chance for runs in the first. But Evan Eldridge strikes out David Wilcox with runners at second and third. No score after one.Top second, Mike Cummings for Bucksport blasts one deep to left-center. Lands just short of the wall. Eldridge running all the way from first. Comes in to give the Bucks a 1-0 lead. They led 2-0 after two.But Casey Estes steps up for Old Town. He only allows one more run after the second. Old Town wins 8-3. The Coyotes are on to the playoffs in class B.
