Large Turnout Expected for MPBN Public Hearing 

A large turnout is expected in Augusta Monday, for a public hearing on governor Lepage’s proposal to eliminate all state funding for the Maine Public Broadcasting Network.MPBN get nearly $2 million a year from the state.Ii accounts for nearly 20 percent of the network’s budget.The Governor’s spokeswoman says the administration doesn’t think the state should be subsidizing a TV and radio network during a budget crunch.MPBN’S President says the network and its supporters will put up a fight.
