Court Documents Released in Steven Mayo Investigation 

A Dover-Foxcroft man accused of shooting his younger brother has been charged with murder.Court documents in the investigation have been released.State police arrested 22-year-old Steven Mayo Thursday at his home on the French Road.Police say he killed his 20-year-old brother, Ryan, a week-and-a half ago outside Ryan’s home. The brothers lived next door to each other.The medical examiner’s office says Ryan Mayo died from a single gunshot wound to the head.Court documents say the night of the shooting Steven called his father and said Ryan wouldn’t stop doing donuts in his driveway.He told his father he and Ryan got into fight and that Ryan punched him.Court records go on to say Steven told his father, Ryan went home and Steven went there to disable his ATV. Steven told his father Ryan got a twelve gauge shotgun and fired it.The documents say Steven said he pointed the rifle at Ryan’s back and fired. He’s in the Piscataquis County Jail and is scheduled for court Monday.
