Husson Men’s Lacrosse Takes Out MMA in NAC Semifinal

The Husson men’s lacrosse team has made great strides since their inaugural season in 2009. That year they lost in the conference quarterfinals. Last year, they lost in the semi’s. Today the Eagles playing at home with a chance to go to the conference championship.The Eagles hosting Maine Maritime Academy. First half, Husson looking unstoppable. Second quarter, Chris Pelletier takes it all by himself for the goal. Eagles up 7-1. They led by five at the half.But MMA comes alive in the 3rd quarter. The Mariners rattle off five quick goals. Brian Corain gets his own rebound and puts it home. Game tied at seven going into the fourth.Husson coach Tim Murphy telling his team to control posession.The Eagles get the go-ahead goal. Ben Potter to Alex Ryan. Fires it low to the goalie’s right. Husson grab three goals in the fourth to win 10-7. The Eagles will play at Castleton on Saturday for the NAC title. For head coach Tim Murphy, it’s the culmination of a lot of hard work.
